Conservation Alliance Program (CAP) - donations to a WWF Project Site
WWF has over 20 projects on-going on the field. These projects are funded by international and local donor agencies. The bulk of the funding supports conservation research, coastal resource management of marine protected areas, training, information and capacity building with the local fisherfolks, farmers, government units and NGOs working for a unified vision for the local community and the management of their natural resource base.
However, there are gaps in the projects that require supplementary funding to meet an integrated approach to development such as education, health and population, etc. Individual and corporate donors may well provide funds to support these projects, and together with the local communities, invest in their sustainable future. Projects would cost between P150,000 to P1 million annually. We welcome individuals and corporations to inquire with WWF for investment opportunities such as:
- Education: scholarships for the youth and children's educational programs in public schools
- Ecotourism for the locality with local government units
- Alternative livelihood opportunities
- Renewable energy: in project sites that have renewable energy sources, develop off-grid energy sources for the municipalities which not just mitigates climate change, but is a potential for poverty alleviation programs. Funding would go to a study of the possibility for renewable energy sources.
- Population and Health: provides market access and informed choice to reproductive health
- Forests and Soil: Watershed management, sedimentation and soil composition
- Waste Management
- Water Security and Wastewater Management
Benefits to Conservation Alliance Partners:
- Project-specific co-branded communications
- Invitation to WWF’s events and activities
- Logo placement in project website
- Acknowledgement in project site events and publicity materials
- Feature in WWF’s annual report
