There’s nothing like releasing some of those creative juices every Earth Hour season.

During Earth Hour 2011, the Earth Hour Campaign moved with a new light as it focused on challenging all of us to go beyond the hour. Using the switch off night as a launch pad, we are taught to re-evaluate our lifestylechoices to find out what else, other than switching off, could contribute to lessening our impact on the planet. Both empowering and engaging, the practice is continuity and the goal is sustainability. We must realize that going green can take many forms, with limitless possibilities. How about unplugging unused appliances? Ever consider toting around an eco-pouch for your daily purchases? Contemplating on picking up that piece of wrapper on the ground? Smile and just do it!

WWF knows, however, that with all the possibilities, going green can be a daunting task. That’s why Earth Hour’s own Beyond the Hour Campaign provides Filipinos with a better understanding not only of climate change, but of solutions. Where could you possibly start? Through an information, education, and communication campaign, we show schools, major corporations, local governments, and YOU ways of how to be a Planeteer and love it!
